The first day of filming for the 2011 season is always a slow day — Bridget, Becky, Julia and I are all getting up to speed although our back kitchen is always in excellent form. Lighting has to be tweaked, “performances” brought up a notch, and then it is showtime. Tomorrow, we’ll post the first of my silly costume introductions including yours truly as a Fairy Godmother, a Prisoner, a Scotsman, and a Professor. (I liked the Fairy Godmother the best.)

  2. Congratulations on having one of the longest-running cooking shows ever (if not THE longest-running). I’ve been watching since the beginning, and still learn something new with every show. Where food shows on a certain cable channel are all about flash and little about substance, yours is both entertaining and educational. Keep up the great work.
